In March, we took an exciting first step for our kennel with the adoption of J\u00f3runn, a beautiful Northern Inuit girl from Na’heestah’s Swiss Northern Inuits. J\u00f3runn does not only represent the foundation of our breeding program but also the beginning of a dream. We’ve waited for her for two years, and learned a lot about breeding from following her litter’s process closely. We attended her parents’ mating, her birth, visited her every week while she was growing up, and learned a lot from her breeder about genetics, stud selection, biology, puppy care and the intricate politics of the breeding world.<\/p>\n
J\u00f3runn is settling in wonderfully, adapting quickly to her new home and bonding with us in a way that feels so natural and reassuring. Though the teenage years won’t be easy, every day with her reminds us why we began this journey\u2014to bring forward a breed that embodies both the elegance of the wolf and the approachability of a family dog. J\u00f3runn\u2019s arrival marks a thrilling beginning, and we look forward to building our kennel\u2019s legacy with her at its heart.<\/p>\n
