Jórunn joined us in early 2023, after two long years of waiting. The litters she was born in was a formative one for her new mommy, because she took the opportunity to follow along the whole process and learn about breeding, from stud selection to adoption day.

Then Jórunn taught us patience over and over again as her teenage years turned her into a velociraptor with an iron will who couldn’t stay alone and always found a way to get her way.

In spite of this, she started showing strong maternals instincts very early on, and had her first litter just before her 2nd birthday. She turned out to be a great mother, and it also calmed her down a bit.

Wherever she goes, Jórunn turns heads because of her large size, majestic appearance and confident stance. She’s very comfortable in the human world, mostly ignoring them, and virtually scared of nothing. However, she has kept some of her stubbornness and a high prey drive, and doesn’t get along with some dogs.
